ABS — Autonomous Battle Support is the support framework built to expand the capabilities of ABD — Adaptive Battle Director.
ABS does not control the battlefield or replace ABD. Instead, it provides the specialized assets and support systems that ABD can call upon when battlefield conditions demand them.
Depending on the available integrations and mission setup, ABS can provide support capabilities such as:
Air strikes and close air support
Gunship support
Artillery and indirect fire
Armored support
Transport and reinforcement assets
Reconnaissance and battlefield intelligence
Logistics and supply support
Evacuation and recovery systems
Specialized battlefield support assets
ABD decides what the battlefield needs.
ABS provides the tools to make it happen.
Together, ABD and ABS create a more dynamic battlefield where support is deployed because the situation calls for it — not simply because a timer expired or a player crossed a trigger.
ABS doesn’t lead the battle.
It gives ABD the support to fight it.
